Francesco Iannellli graduated from the Department of Agriculture of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria in 2004, after following studies in Spain, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Still at the Department of Agriculture he also obtained a PhD in Agroforestry and Environmental Engineering in 2009, carrying out research and developing several environmental sustainability of agri-food and forestry productions.
Subsequently, he combines training activities with professional activities, specialising not only in business consultancy but also in relations with public administrations. In fact, he obtained various Masters and Advanced Courses including the Master in Public Management, organised by SDA Bocconi and Luiss Business School, and a Master in Engineering for the Environment and Land Defence. In addition, he obtained the qualification of Project Manager, issued by ISIPM. Member of the Board of Directors of the Order of Agronomists and Foresters of the Province of Reggio Calabria, he plays the role of Auditor for certification for Bureau Veritas SpA and RINA SPA, and maintains professional relationships concerning the agri-environmental sustainability of renewable energy plants with Encl Green Power SpA. He collaborates with various Public Bodies (Calabria Region, Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, Municipalities) for the creation of planning and territorial programming tools and the use of Community structural funds. In fact, he was Development Agent and Expert of the Technical Group for National and Community Planning 2014-2020 of the Calabria Region for Integrated Local Development Projects. He coordinated, on behalf of the Mediterranean University, the achievement of the UEBT-UTZ (Union for Ethical BioTrade) certification through the application of the (Farm Sustainability Assessment, FSA) which saw as partner: Symrise AG Capua 1860 – Unionberg – the Department of Agriculture of the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria in order to certify bergamot as a sustainable product. He is consultant and auditor for FSC and PEFC standards regarding Sustainable Forest Management (FMS) and Chain of Custody (CoC) of production. He worked for the execution of company audits and tutoring, within the research project entitled: “Tutoring for innovative start-ups” promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Reggio Calabria (Agenzia Informa) and by the Department of Agriculture of Reggio Calabria.
